Well, to tell the truth, my favourite poem is Become You Again. What can I say about it?!!... a slap on the face?! can't find better words to describe it!!
The first part or stanza is more shocking and enchanting. I like the personification of the agility of a child, innocence and dreams- which shows how important they are!- I like also the use of archaic language, it adds to the universality of the theme.. the poem becomes like a voice echoing from the past into the present!
The tone is very helpless and gloomy but it turns to be quite hopeful and rebellious in the second part.
lost- cost, run- sun are beautiful internal rhymes which- along with the alliteration (as in obliterate- obligations)- add to the musicality of the poem.
"Plunge the deep to soar upward in substance untold!"
how beautiful this line is!!!! I like the paradox in there!! we have to go deep in order to go up... we have to give up this superficial look at ourselves as human beings in order to be something even better!!
