Negativity. We all have a lot of it in our lives. Some of us cause it and some of us unfortunately get shat on by it. I wonder how easily it can be for someones day to become negative. And when it becomes that way, does it stay with you until you close you eyes and sleep? How can you get rid of all of the awful things surrounding you in this world. You wake up and put a pot of coffee on, and turn on the news before getting ready for work. You see that someone a few blocks away from you was shot, after dealing drugs. Then you hear that a plane crashed into a building where your best friend worked. So what is there to smile about? Sure shrug it off and say "What is the world coming to?" Then you get your mug and begin to pour some coffee, maybe this will make your day better. But you'll be damned if half a pot of coffee spilt down your body. You sure as hell won't be shrugging now, more than likely, in Internet terms it would look something like this "#&%^ !@@*^ #!$$%!!!!!!" in a bubble above your head. So you regretfully put your pot of coffee down and make a comment to yourself about how you probably have 3rd degree burns and wish you had a pistol because that coffee would meet its maker. Finally you are ready to go to work, and get in your car to find your radio blaring on some rap station that was replaced by the old classic rock station you loved. You nearly pissed yourself, coffee stained legs and all. And you end up in traffic, not mentioning the long hours you will be working, that is if those motherfuckers in front of you would stop being so nosey and looking at a wreck on the side of the road, instead of driving like a normal human being. So, all of this takes place within the first hour of being awake. Your stress levels are already way up. And you are bound to be dealing with a co-worker who will give you shit. And you just know it. That is your luck. It seems in times like these there is no reason to be optimistic, so you just live day to day waiting to step in the next piece of dog shit the neighbors didn't pick up out of your lawn, even though you have asked them 8 times already. We shouldn't live this way. But how the hell can you be positive in a world that is destined to be negative. You can be so overwhelmed with the idea of small things that are happening around you, that the bigger worries in life, do not even register. You can be so focused on what payments need to be made, what customer needs an item that you don't supply at your store, what the next thing your boss is going to ask of you, that if the idea of someone in North Korea threatening to shoot off a nuke as a so-called test, would make you drive your car into a tree. In such a crazy negative world, do you ever take time out for yourself? And when you do, is it really positive? Are you letting anything positive in your life? Or are you so consumed with negativity that you have forgotten how to be optimistic? We need to find this very thing out, if we want to change the path that our life is currently on.
