Voice is ietwat van ‘n afwisseling van die rou benadering wat ek met my debuut-vrystelling, Love, gevolg het. ‘n Groter verskeidenheid klank-effekte, vokale variasie, asook ‘n verskeidenheid effekte op die klawerbord, kan op hierdie album aangetref word. Tog is daar steeds ‘n aardse gevoel, veral met I found a friend en Beautiful Girl (wat binnekort vrygestel word).

Akoestiese instrumente is ingespan om ‘n spesiale effek aan baie van die snitte te verleen. Kitare met nylon-snare, trekklaviere en Ierse fluite is onder andere gebruik om daardie ekstra iets aan sommige van die snitte te verleen.

It’s a new day spog met ‘n rock-aanslag, terwyl Joy, met sy polsende klank, jou voete laat jeuk en jou laat opspring om saam te dans.

Die tema van die snitte wat op Voice verkrygbaar is, staan sentraal teenoor romanse, vriendskap, hoop, vreugde en ander soortgelyke onderwerpe. In kort opgesom, is Voice ‘n opbouende en verfrissende album wat jou opbeur en jou instaat stel om die lewe weer vierkantig in die oë te kyk.

Die album spog met ‘n wêreldse invloed, ‘n smakie van verskillende kulture, naby én ver. Die eerste snit, The Sun The Moon The Stars is wêreldwyd goed ont-vang. Dit voel asof ek veral met hierdie snit en ook met ander snitte op die album, aanklank kan vind by ‘n wye verskeidenheid persone en smake.
